About Scholars Planet
Scholars Planet is a scholarship and opportunity information platform started to close one simple but costly gap: good opportunities exist, but the students who need them most often hear about them too late, or never at all.
Our story
Scholars Planet began with Samuel, a student who missed the interview for a $1,000 scholarship because the notification email arrived weeks late — and he had no reliable place to have found it sooner. That single missed opportunity became the reason Scholars Planet exists: so that timing and access to information are never the reason a student misses their chance.
What started as a WhatsApp channel has grown to reach over 2,800 students, with more than 157 members going on to win scholarships and grants, and over 2,000 enrolling in free digital skills programmes.
Our mission
To close the information gap in education access by curating and delivering verified scholarships, grants, fellowships and skills opportunities to students who might otherwise never hear about them in time.
Our vision
A future where no student's education or career is limited by lack of access to information — where opportunity is determined by ability and effort, not by who happened to hear about it first.

Scholars Planet's work is grounded in three of the UN Sustainable Development Goals:

We work to ensure inclusive and equitable access to education by removing the information barrier that keeps eligible students from applying to scholarships, grants and training programmes.
SDG 10 — Reduced Inequalities
By reaching students regardless of location, school, or existing network, we work to reduce the inequality in who gets to hear about — and benefit from — educational opportunity.
SDG 8 — Decent Work and Economic Growth
Through free digital skills programmes shared on the platform, we help students build capabilities that open pathways to decent work and sustainable income.
